"Stranger Than Diction"

I've written a little article about various ways to share/express/smuggle our faith into our arts. It's been published in the online version of Cardus's journal Comment. (click the title of this post to link to the article).

Enjoy!

This post said it was by ~ Sørina javascript:void(0) - I knew you'd changed the spelling of your name to Sørina, but this is the first time I'd heard of your new last name! Quite intriguing. ;-)

Seriously, though, brilliant article! A delight to read. This is one of the best things I’ve ever read on faith and the arts, and I've read a lot!

I'm so pleased that you're writing for Comment now, and am glad to have played a role in helping that come about. (But your work stands on its own merit, and you only needed my introduction to the editors to get you off and running.) Looking forward to more ravishing stuff from your pen (keyboard)!

Oops, thanks Rosie; I fixed whatever created that crazy new last name. Kinda po-mo, yes? :)

Well, wow, thank you for your enthusiastic response! And thank you again for what you did to help me land that gig. I'm hoping to follow it up with more....

I sent a link to your article to Scott Cairns, BTW, as he's a friend of mine too. I figured he'd enjoy it, least of all because he's mentioned in it, but also because it's so good. I was right. Here was his reply: "Your friend Sørina is a smartie. She does a very good job of wrestling these complexities into view."

Thanks again, Rosie! Scott actually read the article before it came out, because the editors contacted him for permission to reprint the poem. I'm glad to hear what he said. Yay.
